As a simple example, in a bounty hunter storyline, my friend had to talk to another NPC since he killed a certain man, and I had to talk to another NPC, since I have saved the life of the same guy. Quests are very different than WoW's system, since they have dialogue options, and alignment options, and they differ a lot regarding the event. The only WoW resemblance I can see is the button-number based attack system, which is the most usual element in MMORPGs, and here it is mixed with action combat, which is also different than WoW.
Usual MMORPG elements were first used in DAoC, not WoW, WoW is a great game, and was a hit, but older MMORPGers will know that the MMORPG elements never changed since DAoC, and does not have to, since people got used to it as sports games mechanics. It is a game using mmorpg elements, not WoW elements. The biggest mistake people do is looking for a WoW resemblance as soon as they start the game. First, saber you use looks like a stick, because it is just a saber (not a lightsaber), you will remember from the KOTOR games, it is much like a blade without a color crystal.Ĭertain point while doing missions, and it is at the very early stage of the storyline, you take your lightsaber with a color crystal, then you will have a pretty neat looking lightsaber as it is supposed to be.
